Accessibility

Our interest in facilitating access to information available on the Internet for all people (whether or not they have any type of disability) is clearly reflected on our website. Some examples: all menu options are made up of text (which also increases in size when the font size in the browser is enlarged), not graphic buttons that are harder to see and interpret by people with visual impairments. Our style sheet complies with the W3C CSS standard. All images display an alternative text (seen when hovering the cursor over them) which is very useful when a person is viewing the website with a text browser (which does not display images) or with a content reading browser (used by visually impaired individuals). The color scheme used on our website, while aligning with our corporate image, displays text with contrast against the background, enhancing readability. We have not built this website in flash because, although the result may be spectacular, its accessibility level is zero. We prefer to invest all efforts in developing an HTML-based and accessible website.

Accessible website.

Our website conforms to Level A of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (WCAG 1.0). It also complies with the W3C CSS standard and successfully passes the TAW Web Accessibility Online Test.

Browsers and Platforms

Compatibility with PC and Macintosh.

Our website is optimized to be perfectly viewed on both PC and Macintosh, with the most common browsers (Internet Explorer 5 or higher, Netscape 7 or higher, and Opera 6 or higher). The decision not to develop websites for the latest browser versions is based on the analysis of visits received by the websites we have developed. Thus, we have observed which versions are most used, and that is the standard we adopt. Maximum dissemination for our content
